Once you have found the right course for you, register for your course with your Learning Consultant. They will email you a link to our secure checkout for you to choose your payment plan.

Once our enrolments team has processed your registration, they will send you your official CAL Enrolment Form. This form goes through all the information we need to have you officially become a CAL student.

Once you’ve enrolled, you’re officially a CAL student – now it’s time to start studying. Log into our learning platform, connect with peers and coaches, enjoy the perks and excel at your studies.

Secure checkout

Once you have found the right course to help you achieve your career goals, you can register for your course with your Learning Consultant. They will email you a link to our secure checkout using the Westpac payment gateway where you can choose your preferred payment option.

You can save up to 13.5% of your total fees by paying an upfront deposit on your course, or you can select the payment plan which will best suit you.

What's involved

When you get to the checkout, you’ll see there’s more to it than just payment. We gather a few essential bits of information, such as:

  • Confirming you’re 18+ years of age,
  • If English is your first language (if it’s not, we’ll need to check your literacy and numeracy skills before you start your studies to ensure you have a smooth learning journey),
  • Which payment plan you’ve chosen (if you’re not paying the full course fee upfront),
  • Confirming you agree to our terms and conditions and Privacy Policy,
  • And of course, making that first payment to get your study journey started.

We recognise and understand that every student is different and no one payment option will suit everyone. That is why we offer flexible payment options to suit every budget. With no hidden fees, you can be sure we are here to support you through your learning journey.

Your payment plan will start once your enrolment is processed and you begin studying.

There are also other financial support options available, such as BUSY At Work or Verto’s “Skills Checkpoint” for Older Workers, which may apply to you.

What happens next

Once our enrolments team has processed your registration, they will email you your official CAL Enrolment Form.

ENROL

The final step is to complete your CAL Enrolment Form. This form goes through all the information we need to have you on board as a CAL student officially. Complete and return your enrolment form, and you’ll be ready to start your studies. Assuming there are no issues, your Enrolments Officer will process your enrolment within the next two business days.

Delaying your start

If you have chosen to delay your start, you’ll receive a confirmation of your expected start date and you’ll be prompted to go through the enrolment process when that date arrives. If you receive the enrolment form right after registration and you were planning to delay your study, it’s crucial that you communicate that with our team BEFORE you submit the enrolment form.

Completing your enrolment

  • Your Unique Student Identifier (USI). This is your personal ID number for your lifetime of studies. It also creates an online record of your training attainments in Australia. You’ll need this set up before you enrol as providing your USI number is part of the enrolment application form. If you have studied a nationally accredited course in Australia since 2015, you will probably already have one. If you haven’t, you’ll need to set one up.
  • Prior education levels
  • Medical issues or disabilities
  • Your motivation for study and what you want to achieve. This is important for our Real Outcomes Guarantee and identifying whether you’ve achieved your career goals as a result of studying with us.

Once you’ve submitted this form, you’ll get a confirmation email and a copy of your enrolment form for your records.

We take the time to meet and understand our students’ needs, so we’re confident when we create their learning path. But, if you find that the course is not right for you, you can take advantage of our 30-day cooling off period. You can withdraw within the first 30 days of your enrolment for a full refund, less a small $250 administration fee.

What happens next

Your Enrolments Officer will process your enrolment within the next two business days.

Once done, you will receive a welcome email with your details for accessing your course.

Studying with CAL was a great experience. I did struggle with motivation and getting back into study but they(the coaches) were there all along. They have so many support options and are really flexible and want you to succeed. Some of the content links - in the learning modules I studied - reference reading material going back many years but still relevant and useful.

Covered everything that has helped me with all the content, alot of information to read and reference back to. Some modules I found easy based on my role and others I really had to put the extra effort into it, but the content covered that information, I was must impressed by the simulations as it gave me the opportunity to demonstrate my knowledge, and I became better with each simulation. Well planned out course would recommend to my fellow team members. the college of adult learning have been very supportive. I wasn't sure if I would be able to do this course, the course advisors guided me through step by step and help me pick the right course for me to study. I found it hard to get started as I am 48 yrs old and haven't studied for many years. the student advisors are quick to reply to my emails are very helpful at getting me on the right track. you can also schedule a call from student advisor for what time and day suits you. If you are not very good with computers, they will also help you with this. The student advisors send you weekly updates of how you are tracking, they also set you up with a study plan that will fit into your busy life and help you to complete the diploma in the required time frame. I work full time, 40 hrs weekly. I am studying a double diploma, and I have 3 children. The study plan they have created fits perfectly into my busy life. I recommend college of adult learning to anyone that wants to further their career or change their career path, like me.

When I first started my Cert. IV, I felt so overwhelmed with my first learning pack. By participating in initial zoom calls to support new students and reaching out and having scheduled calls from coaches to support me - I quickly found that I was not alone, not the only mature aged student that was terrified and that there was not judgement only support to help me succeed and that I had access to whatever support I needed, I just had to reach out. Building relationships with coaches and allowing them to help me has seen me successful in completing learning packs. I would recommend anyone study with CAL - Your limitations are only placed on yourself by you. The Centre for Adult Learning and the coaches all want to see you succeed. You too can be on that path.

I completed the Cert IV in WHS through CAL. I found the assessor’s and coaches to be extremely helpful in completing assessments, with the ability to book coaching calls on Zoom when help was required, including some weekend availability to fit study around my work schedule. I also enjoy the assessment call booking system that is used as it allowed me to book assessment simulation Zoom Calls ahead of time, creating a deadline for myself to complete assignments which helped me complete the certificate much quicker than expected. The assessor’s provide helpful feedback on assignments and are very transparent if something needs to be revised. The course has difficult aspects, however I believe it is possible for anyone to complete if they are determined, especially with the help of assessors. All the information needed to complete assignments is easily accessed through the modules, with a small portion of internet research needed to complete assignments. I absolutely recommend completing study through CAL, and I will be sure to go through CAL again should I choose to complete another certificate/diploma.

I’ve had a great experience with The College for Adult Learning so far. One of the biggest advantages is that it’s fully self-paced and you can work through the coursework on a schedule that fits your life. Whether you want to move quickly or take your time, the flexibility makes it easy to balance studies with work and other commitments.The student support team and learning coaches have been incredibly helpful. It really feels like you have a team behind you, even though the course is online.I also appreciate the variety in the learner assessments. Instead of relying on just written assignments, the program includes video role plays and simulations with the coaches as well. I completed Diploma of Work Health and Safety with CAL. It was a very thorough and interesting course, which has given me high levels of confidence and comprehensive knowledge on the topic. I enjoyed the variety of activities and assessments throughout the course and the opportunities to build on learning with practical applications and real world examples.Staff were fantastic and the support available at all times was excellent. Students can access unlimited mentoring and support calls and in the early weeks of the course I took full advantage of this opportunity. We understand that you may be ready to start achieving your career goals but unable to begin studying immediately. That’s why we offer students the option to register for their course and to delay their start. You can lock in your course then start studying within the next three months.

No fees on transfers or deferrals

At CAL, we will work with you to find a pathway that’s best suited to your career goals. This is why we offer zero fees for course transfers for our students. To accommodate our students’ busy lives, we offer one free 90-day deferral, and we also offer one free six-month extension.

30-day cooling off period

We’re confident you will love your course. However, if you find that the course is just not right, you can withdraw within the first 30 days for a full refund of your course fees less a small administration fee of $250. Unlike other RTO’s who offer up to just 14-day refund periods, at CAL we offer 30 days to our students.

Extensions

To help our students continue on their learning journey, we offer one free six-month extension to ensure they’re in the best position to complete their course. If you still need more time after this, we can assist you with further paid extensions.
